NEW YORK CITY
The project provides interim housing units in the wake of a disastrous storm hitting NYC.
The design focused on suitable methods and reusable materials. For its well-known application and quick assembly methods, scaffolding components are used for the structural frame. The framing system works either independently or attached to an existing building. Infill panels are factory assembled and made of insulated metal panels. An innovative air filtration system uses metallic screens to electrostatically trap airborne contaminants before they reach the inner, inhabited layer of the building. The system allows for easy transport and quick demounting.
